Laticrete- Hydro Ban

Hydro Ban is a green waterproofing liquid rubber that comes in either one gallon or five-gallon containers. Used primarily in wet areas, Hydro Ban is a waterproofing membrane that bonds directly to a wide variety of surfaces. Hydro Ban is a single component, self curing liquid polymer that does not require the use of fabric. 

As a waterproof membrane, Hydro Ban forms a seamless, flexible coating that does not allow water penetration. This easy-to-use product can make the materials being used for a current project, such as a cement backerboard totally waterproof. Taking this step ensures that if any water was to get behind the tile in your shower, it would simply hit the membrane and run down the wall back into the shower. This prevents the wall cavity and backer material from becoming saturated and does not allow the formation of mold and mildew.
