Schluter Systems – Ditra mat

DITRA Mat is the ideal anti-fracture membrane for use under your tile application. Designed to prevent cracking in applications when the underlying material is less than ideal, DITRA Mat is applied to the substrate with thinset mortar. Once installed, Ditra uncouples the new tile floor from the substrate preventing cracked tile and grout. Free space on the underside of the matting allows for movement and provides a route for moisture and vapor to escape without damaging the tile layer above

Only 1/8 inch thick, DITRA Mat is designed to minimize the thickness associated with the installation of tile. In addition to providing vapor management and assisting in the distribution of heavy loads, DITRA Mat also helps reduce the transitions associated with lower surface coverings.

Designed by Schluter, a German company with a long history of products for the tile industry, DITRA Mat features a cavity structure with anchoring fleece that prevents the tile and the substrate from making contact with one another.
